Dereliction Demo v0.13 Released

Dereliction Demo v0.13 Released

version 0.13 adds multithreading to the bugs! So more bugs, more bugs, and more bugs!

I have been hard at work on Dereliction getting a hot fix update out quickly. This is that update! I was able to implement multithreading to the enemy bug swarms. Multithreading harnesses all extra cpus in multiprocessor systems, and it then offloads the bug ai and navigation to secondary threads. This has Improved frames and bug count as a result, leading to larger, creepier, more organic swarms of Dross.

Also I listened to the feedback that I’ve gotten on v0.12. I added an o2 percentage number. As well as more straightforward instructions, and hints where everyone was a little confused. It is really hard for me to see the game since I am so close to it. So I’ve really appreciated the feedback and I am really looking forward to seeing anyone on YouTube playing it since that’s pretty much all we watch at home on YouTube, youtubers playing indie games :D

I have also added a few quality settings to get it running smoother on everyone's systems. I certainly do not have a high end gaming PC, and it runs smooth on my system. But I added an option for a slightly lower resolution to bump the frames up around 10+ as well as a higher, sharper resolution if there isn’t any frame issues.

I hope everyone enjoys the new update, please let me know! I am interested not only in what needs to be fixed but more what I should do next. It is going to be a full game one day, now is a good time to start shaping it into a game that’s fun for everyone. I have a suggestion section here on itchio in the community tab.

Thanks for reading, till next time ~Salt_
